Now, a few words from Sheryl…..

My singing talent was first seen in public when I was Kinder 1. My mother told me that even when I was younger than 1 year old they recognized my potential in singing and dancing because I was able to emulate easily the tune by humming it (in tune) and dancing with it although it was quite hard for me before I could walk on my own. My mom would allow me to visit in my neighbor’s house so I could listen to music played in a cassette player many hours daily.

Except from my family, the first person who discovered my singing talent was my Kinder 1 teacher in Plaza Day Care Center at Freedom Park, Koronadal City who allowed me to experience my first engagement in a singing competition. I started my Grade school days in Osita Elementary School, Koronadal City. When I was in Grade one, no one from school had heard me sing except my family. During the first grade at school, I was known for my dancing ability and was always requested to provide dance routines for programs and other special events in our school. After I finished my Grade one, I attended  my second and fourth Grades at Marbel 1 Central Elementary School. During those school years, more people noticed my singing talent and I joined and won various singing competitions and was invited to sing in a number of events outside our school. I was asked by many politicians to sing for them during their campaign period. After those special events, I became more popular in my school, our town, and surrounding area. Many people (outside our area) would hear about me and recognize my face throughout the Philippines.

Summer, before I started Grade five, because of poverty, I was sent to our relatives in the Municipality of Sto. Nino (still within our province). Although far from my parents and siblings, I continued my studies at Sto. Niño Central Elementary School. My relatives took the responsibility for my schooling until I graduated elementary school. During those early years I became more popular for my singing as well as dancing. I was actively leading in various dance competitions such as dance sports, popular dance, modern dance, & folkdance. When I was in grade 5 and after winning the municipal – regional level, I was able to represent Region 11 (currently Region 12) in the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) held in the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

After I graduated elementary school, with the permission of my aunts, I decided to live with my parents and siblings again and continue my studies in Koronadal City. The summer before I started at Koronadal National Comprehensive High School, I was asked to sing again for a political campaign. Fortunately, the politician I performed for during the campaign won and due to his appreciation, he made me his full scholar from high school until I got into college.

During my college years, I represented my college in our school’s intramurals for the dance sports and singing competitions. I also represented our school for Notre Dame inter-school singing competitions. I would also sing in bars and restaurants at night just to support my school allowances and the installment payments for my computer which I needed for my I.T. course.

I was in my fourth year of the university when I got pregnant and had to discontinue college. I got married on August 23, 2008 and gave birth to my first son in January 1, 2009 and gave birth to my second son on in January 1, 2010. My husband and two beautiful sons completely support my career. I continued college in November 2011 and graduated in the summer of 2012.

I joined singing competitions and performed in locations across the Philippines.

During the last quarter of 2012, I joined the AST Productions and played the role of a funny wedding planner.

I’ve always dreamed of performing on stage in large venues, singing and dancing in front of thousands of fans until one day (while tired and about to do the dishes), I decided to record a video of me singing while washing the dishes and posted it on YouTube and Facebook. Luckily some Facebook friends liked it and posted it on their pages and amazingly it became a hit. Thousands of people liked and shared this unusual video of mine (though others thought I’m a nanny, LOL! J) until one day a very kind-hearted man, Mr. Paul Westbrook invited me for a free recording and the rest is history. I am now officially a talent of CMA (Client Management Associates) and Sir Paul is my Producer and Personal Manager.

I sincerely hope you enjoy my website and I thank you for your love and support. Watch for me on Face Book as well as other Social Media and don’t forget to say hello and “Like” & “Share” my posts. I hope to see you in my concerts and maybe we can meet face to face someday.
